Description (2950 characters max)
My goal as a therapist is to help individuals to become empowered in order to make the desired changes in their life.

DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. I work with all family members of individuals with developmental disabilities. Too often, these family members ignore their own emotions regarding a child with special needs such as guilt, grief, depression and isolation. Often children are too embarrassed to talk to others about their feelings. The goal of therapy is to help family members understand that it is normal to have and process these feelings. This will help avoid feelings of resentment or negative emotions.

BEREAVEMENT/GRIEF. Individuals will find great relief by working through the many stages of grief and emotions with the desired goal of peace and acceptance.

SEXUAL AND EMOTIONAL ABUSE. I work with individuals who were sexually abused as children. My work also includes emotional abuse.

LIFE TRANSITIONS. If you are looking for help as you enter a life transition, such as a new marriage, retirement, divorce, and/or any other life changes, there are usually a variety of emotions. You are not alone when you start wondering, “What is wrong with me?” or “Why isn’t it going the way I thought it should?” Through education and the understanding of your feelings, you will realize there are benefits and growth in these various stages of life. This realization will enable you to have a more satisfying and fulfilled life.
