Santa Barbara Therapy
California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
Mixer for Santa Barbara's
Psychotherapeutic Community Members

I think we can safely say that "a good time was had by all" on Friday October 23 when over 100 psychotherapists gathered together at the Family Therapy Institute for good food, catching up with old friends, and making contact with new folks. It's pretty hard to say which was the best part: the location, the moonlight sky, the weather, the ambiance, the joy and celebration of being together, or the TERRIFIC FOOD. Suffice it to say, that together these factors created a gestalt of community which in turn resulted in a Class Act Party!

Thanks go to: Deb and Don for hosting us ... with enough interest and support, we may make this an annual event each fall! Thanks to Fred Morguelan, incoming President for the California Psychological Association, Santa Barbara Chapter, for taking the beautiful pictures. Huge thanks to Shelley Stork, Fred's assistant for handling all the RSVP's, making the name tags, and helping to check people in. Special thanks to SB CAMFT Board Members Marisa Huston for getting all of the wine for the event and to Paul Kroekel for helping out at the registration table.

I personally had a rich and rewarding experience working with Debbie Allen and Heidi Zetzer, Presidents of the local chapters for LCSW's and Psychologists, planning and creating this this event together. The idea came to mind in the early spring of this year as we sat together with Fred Morguelan in the living room at the University Club after one our chapter luncheons which they attended. We decided it would be fun to have a bigger gathering for all of our members. And the rest is history.
