This presentation led by Rebekah Lovejoy, PhD, LMFT, should discuss and describe the diagnosis of neurodivergence, including specificities related to ADHD and Autism. The presentation will identify common reactions to later life diagnosis. The presentation will identify and examine the issues, side effects, and important adjustments needed o address misdiagnosis and manage the care of clients who have been medicated for symptoms and other concerns, such as ODC, Bipolar, and Anxiety.

Educational Goals: The goals of this presentation would be to discuss and map out common fears adults come to session with when they have a recent diagnosis of Autism or ADHD or any combination. Also, to describe and explore the common misdiagnoses clients may have when they are actually neurodivergent, especially the common misdiagnosis and often miss-medication of women with neurodivergence.
